About Our Sangha
The North Fork Sangha is a non-secular Buddhist meditation group. We meet every Monday evening promptly at 6:00 pm, upstairs at Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 3rd and North Fork in Paonia (map below).
We begin with a short reading from a buddhist related text. We then have two twenty-five minute silent meditation periods with a five minute silent break between. This is followed by a group discussion concerning our practice. This goes until about 7:30. Time permitting, you can participate in one or both of the meditation periods and not stay for the discussion. There are plenty of chairs or you can bring your own cushion or meditation bench for sitting on the floor. Anyone in any spiritual discipline interested in silent group meditation is welcome.
Friends and guests are always welcome. We hope you will be able to be there!
